About the event
Join us for our women-only walk club.
We meet at various trails/paths/parks in Delaware and commit to walking anywhere from 2-5 miles. The intention is to move our bodies in a connective, safe environment with other likeminded women. Get off our phones and out in nature, back to real human connection with a goal of improving our physical health and mental wellness. No one walks alone is always our core focus. You may walk with us and have your headphones in if you would like to use this as a time to ensure safety while walking in a group setting! We have countless women who show up solo and end up leaving with new friends/new connections. It is our goal to foster a true non-judgmental and kind community-centric space.
This route in particular is a 2.6 mile loop in the beautiful Brandywine Park. We meet behind Trolley Square Shopping Center by Gaudiello's Sandwich Shop, at the top of the hill next to the tennis courts. We gather between 6:15--6:30pm, and we leave immediately at 6:40pm. All paces welcomed and encouraged. We take a group accountability photo at the beginning of every walk. If you would like to continue your walk and extend the mileage, you are welcome to do so. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center or along the side streets, you will not get towed just look at street signs to double check any regulations. Please bring a water if you need, wear comfortable shoes/clothing, and have a fanny pack or backpack for your phone/keys/etc. Strollers and dogs are welcome!
We ask everyone to be mindful of other walkers, runners, and bikers on the paths. We MUST keep alert and move to the right to allow space for everyone to enjoy. Please communicate ahead of you or behind you if you spot an incoming walker/runner/biker that we need to make room for.
